Well i really dont want to sell my baby but i just got accepted to medical school and unfortunately that doesn't leave me very many options. So here she is, my 1969 corvette. when i bought it, there was a 454 and a 4 speed. I have since swapped that out for an Ls1 and a T56. The motor/trans was installed just a few months ago and it runs perfect. On a road trip recently it averaged right at 27mpg! The car i was told is an original big block 4 speed car but i dont have the original tank sticker to prove it. This is basically a resto mod that i started but wont be able to finish. The Good: 1969 Corvette, 1500 miles since ls1 swap, flow through vent rear window, ac vents but no ac hooked up, t tops, 50k mile Ls1 out of 01 camaro, custom ecu program, power and mileage, Fresh rebuild on T56, Brand new Ls7 clutch and flywheel, throughout bearing, walboro 255lph pump, corvette regulator, push lock hose, russell fittings, shortened and balanced driveshaft, new u joints custom made hooker sidepipes! new gas tank, k&n filter on custom aluminum intake, pistol grip shifter in custom leather wrapped center console, autometer carbon fiber, tach, speed, oil, h2o, volts, gas, air fuel, custom copper panels on dash and center console, black cloth seats in great condition, black carpet is ok, perfectly driveable as is, some fading though, american autowire harness, 18 circuit, brand new, already installed, custom made aluminum radiator, twin spal electric fans, with programmable computer for fan control, aluminum overflow tank new radiator support and crossmember, painted ralley wheels with trim rings, stock type radio with ipod hookup for endless music, small speakerbox in rear of car, just enough for crusing, nothing crazy, fresh chrome type powdercoat on gills, rear vents, clean title, body ready for paint, currently flat black, but i like em that way, l-88 hood, new new bfg tires, dynamat throughout cabin, wiring already in place for high end stereo, amps etc. just basic stuff, passes emissions with flying colors. Stuff left to finish: needs weatherstriping, door panels are decent, but could use new ones, door locks not installed, have whole new set just havent put them in i like the flat black but some people would paint it, steering wheel is a grant, missing center cap, needs headlight door on one side, vacum system gone, was going to install electric kit for headlights, no wiper motor, was going to purchase detroit electric kit, have most side emblems etc, not on car, some rust on frame in pockets by rear tires, common place, very fixable, i have coated these areas with por-15 to stop any rust from progressing, needs suspension, i drive it everyday but could use rebuild. Overall this is a killer car, buy it and finish it, or cruise in style confortably. This is my daily driver, absolutely no issues with driveability etc. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. Colors from the owner. 2,500 miles. July 15, 2008. |
